sleeping in strangers houses

it looked so peacefull from the outside, perfect living room, with the table next to the window and a vase with fresh flowers (changed daily). hoovered, polished, cleaned, tidy...just how i want my house to be. comfortable big sofa facing the fire place (which i am sure offers dancing fires in the winter).

i decide to knock. i am allowed in. i sit on the comfortable sofa and chat. i speak mainly about myself, what i am doing, where i am going, what interests me. when i am offered a cup of tea i accept. then i lay down, just to feel the softness of the pillows. they smell on fresh linen and sunshine. i close my eyes. and begin to relax deeply. deep. deep. rest. sleep. i don't remember much else. when i woke up, tea next to me was cold, undrank. i stood up, walked over to the vase with fresh flowers, touched the tip of the tullips and with the softness of the petals still clinging to my skin i left the house.

Murder in IKEA

VINCENT frowns, figuring.
VINCENT
Of course if you killed me now,
you'd have no reason to hurt
Beth?

JACKIE frowns, thrown, sensing she's losing control.

JACKIE
I don't want to kill you.

VINCENT
That's very touching, Jackie.

JACKIE
(still jealous)
She means that much to you?

VINCENT turns and starts walking away towards the gate.

JACKIE
(infuriated)
Vincent!
VINCENT keeps walking. MICHAEL raises his gun.

JACKIE
Wait.

SIMON
Vincent!

MICHAEL
(shouting to VINCENT)
One more step my friend!

JACKIE
Put the gun down.

MICHAEL ignores her, cocks the gun. VINCENT
hesitates...takes another step.

SIMON runs into the space between MICHAEL and VINCNET,
raising his hand gesturing "stop" to MICHAEL. BANG! the
gun erupts. We see a perfect crimson hole bloom in SIMON's
open palm, then, as his hand drops we see the hole repeated
in his forehead. SIMON sinks to his knees, rolling over
in the gravel, still and lifeless.

JACKIE
(a whisper)
No...

VINCENT turns...sees JACKIE on her knees, cradling SIMON's
bleeding head. She gasps as his dead eyes roll open...

(Transcript: Flight 93 cockpit tape
A US court deciding on a sentence for convicted 9/11 plotter Zacarias Moussaoui has released a full transcript from the cockpit voice recorder of one of the planes hijacked on the day.

Above are the last moments of United Airlines flight 93, recorded before it crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.)

as he drove them further and further into the sands he could feel the tide. his car got stuck in the shifting sands a few times. he could sense the danger. when he heard the cries he tried to go back. there was nothing he could do. standing on the shore, looking at the water ripples, and muddy waves repeatedly hitting the ground, covering his shoes with remains.

(based on the confession of Lin Liangren who has been convicted of the manslaughter of 21 Chinese cockle pickers who were drowned in night tides in Morecambe Bay.)
